Last night I watched a group of 4 bucks including a 10 pt in the pasture behind us. A group of does started coming in from the north followed by a bruiser of an 8 pt. I am pretty sure the 8 and the 10 were the ones I saw locking antlers and pushing each other around a bit the other night when I made the OP.

The 10 pt started heading north towards the does, then stopped when the 8 started walking towards him. The 8 pt then turned a few of the does and chased them back up the fenceline and into the trees, while the 10 pt started sniffing around the other does. Both of the larger bucks were walking around the does with their noses in the air and then sniffing the ground, and the does wanted nothing to do with hanging out near either of them.

2 bucks and a doe killed this week on a 1/2 mile section of 290 in Mcdade- (N Bastrop Co. Somewhat rare for deer to get hit on our section of 290.

3 or 4 dead deer on 290/6 headed from cypress to Houston yesterday

Already going on in Comal. A nice 8 pointer (for this area) tagged a doe in the front yard Monday morning

Chasing in Leon county as well.

Saw activity in Brown county this morning. Waaay to early!
