Guys, I have a very newbie question. I'm trying to adjust the length of pull for a 20 ga SX4 shotgun. They sent me an extender and some additional screws but I'm unsure of whether the screws are longer than what is already in the gun. I'm trying to screw back in the stock with the extender but it does not seem to be grabbing so I'm guessing the screws aren't long enough and that is why they sent two additional screws with the extender. My question is this: is there a good way to remove the old screws without destroying the recoil pad? I only have two very tiny holes in which to pull them out of the recoil pad and install the new screws. Your help is much appreciated.

I'm no expert but I have installed several grind to fit recoil pads. There should be a slit or a cross or something in the pad with which to get a screw driver in. I have a couple of drivers that have skinny shafts and regular sized heads. I put some oil on the driver so that it doesn't bugger the hole. Then you just have to really get on it to make sure it doesn't slip and strip the head of the screws.

Have the SX4 in 12 ga and my recoil pad is no worse for the wear after adjusting LOP using a standard Philips head screwdriver and those little bitty holes. The material has a lot of give to it.
