I still have my Kmart shotgun my dad bought me when I was a kid. Single shot 12 gauge… kicks the crap out of you. I don't think I ever killed a bird with it.

I'm taking my SBE2 to Mexico & needed a new local gun so I called my waterfowl guide & asked what he's been liking and he told me to come see him. I went Monday and he pulled out a Winchester SX4 with a T3 Triple Threat choke. With BOSS Warchief 2-3/4" 1.25oz #4 and 3" 1.5oz #3/5 he was ~80-85% inside 30" at 40yds.

Put the factory improved choke back in it & shot a #8 dove load just to see & it recoiled lighter than any 20ga. I've ever shot. Bit bulky up front for some for a dove gun especially over the inertia guns but I carried an 870 for a decade and I wouldn't hesitate to take this SX4.

My newest duck gun will be here Tuesday.

SBE3 now comes in a 3" version as well as a 3.5" version. I have the shorter 3" version and with the advances in ammo it all I ever need but I don't go goose hunting or anything like that. 3" with decent ammo has been plenty for me with ducks and turkey.
