I have a new A5 and multiple Beretta A300 Outlander and Ultima. I do not think you can go wrong with either of these. Of course the manic shotgunner within me now wants a Benelli SBE for ducks. But I guess I'll forever have the wants. LOL

Well, first off its not good to go into a gun store expecting to buy a gun... thanks for all yall's input, it was easy to pick a gun out but hard to buy just the one. I ended up blowing my budget but got some nice looking guns

I got the Benelli Super Black Eagle III, 12 gauge and Beretta A400 Upland 20 Ga

For me it's an A5. Love that shotgun.
I mean I do too - I have one in 20 and one in 12. But I'd hardly recommend one to a newer hunter. They can be finnicky about ammo, or about being dirty, or about setting the friction ring right, the forend is prone to split, they can be interesting to clean after a day in the rain... and that's the old ones. I would never ever recommend the new "A5" to anyone.

Hell yeah, this is how you outdoors board. I feel like normally these kinds of threads someone ends up letting us down, they go with the cheapest option or dont get anything. Came for one gun reccomendation and ended up buying two nice guns.

I just might be old school but my first out the safe when dove hunting is my old school 870.

I received as a gift from my father in 1978 and it has never failed me.

I collect shot guns because i really like the engineering, woodworking and etching… saying that, the 870 is the simplest, dummied down "pump" shotgun and i love it.

It ain't pretty but it works

My last two gun purchases were the Benelli Ethos in 28 gauge and the Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus in 12 gauge.

(I already have an OG Super Black Eagle)

Shot both at the range this weekend, and broke almost as many clays with the 28 gauge. It is incredibly fun to shoot.

My buddy has the same two guns, and took both hunting white wings in Hondo on opening weekend. He is a much better shot than me, and the altitude and speed made the 28 a challenge pass shooting the high flyers. The A400 was deadly.

Benelli Ethos BEST. From a purely functional perspective, it's the best semi-auto hunting shotgun money can buy. Hands down. It's not even close.

Damn, you didn't f around! Hahaha!

As stated, nice application of the "n+1" philosophy!

Nice choices! You're set for pretty much anything you'd ever need to do with a shotgun!

I'd go with a Winchester SX4 12. Lighter and and a bit softer shooting.

I own a Beretta A300 Outlander 12.

Edit, nevermind, you decided to buy numerous gauges in the most expensive options. Lol

What function? My A400 and Maxus go bang every time. So does my Benelli but the Benelli let's you know it

He's probably referring to the BEST surface treatment. Having the entire shotgun nitride finished like that makes it pretty much completely corrosion proof and maintenance free.
