Any recommendation for a corporate ranch treat that can sleep around 20 within 3 hours of Houston? Solo rooms would be best but we could double up if necessary. Really needing a place that provides meals and alcohol (corporate isn't big on people bringing their own booze due to liability). Don't necessarily need to hunt but bird hunting, gun ranges, outdoor activities a plus. Give me some ideas almighty outdoor board. Won't rule out gulf coast fishing lodges also.

I did throw out Grosse Savanne south of Lake Chuck since guys could go play golf that didn't what to hunt. We are just wanting some options to throw out there.

Book 20 rooms/suites at Nugget or L'auburge in Lake Charles, then get with one or several of the many guides to pick the guys/gals up to go fishing or bird hunting.

Might fit what you're looking for, just a bit further than 3 hours but a really nice place. They host our Aggie club clay shoot every year. Great folks.

I did a few days at Pintail Hunting Club last year and thought it was pretty cool. They supplied meals but not any alcohol so it might not work for you. They have a few ponds near the lodge for fishing and an area for shooting clays.

Yes on this. We have used them for our dealer congress meetings and also for our annual sales force retreat. Great place. Great amenities. Clay shooting, fishing, hunting. Beautiful lodge.

Joshua Creek, more than 2 hours away but it's first class and beautiful. The pheasant shoot makes men laugh and smile like little girls. Food is great, accommodations outstanding.

We've hosted a few corporate retreats/events with 15-20 at the Big Easy Ranch in Columbus. It's pretty convenient to get to from Houston with golf, fishing, hunting and food/drink on site. I believe it requires a corporate membership so it may not be a good fit for a one off event.

I came here to recommend Hawkeye HC in Center, but George and Gunny beat me to it. Top notch food and sporting clays, 5 stand, etc., with a small bar area. Good place to host meetings, and then spend a day shooting. If its good enough for former presidents, it's good enough for me.

74 Resort Ranch in Campbellton (between San Antonio and Corpus). It has 27,000 acres and can sleep your group. It has a 24 hr clay shoot that is 3 miles long with lots of stations to shoot from. Your group arrives before lunch on Friday, they feed you, then put in golf carts (with refreshments) and you go from station to station. Around 5:30 you head back for dinner(usually steak dinner). That evening you relax in the clubhouse (shoot pool, have full access to the bar, watch tv, sit on back patio, or you can shoot more before dark). The clubhouse is full of exotic animal mounts from around the world.

The next morning they feed you breakfast and then send you back out to shoot(if you want to) 9:00-12:00, then feed you lunch. You basically shoot all the Clays you want in 24 hours, which is included in the package. The only thing they don't include is the shells. You can figure two to four cases of shotgun shells per person. One thing I like about the place is that they use wireless controllers at each station. If you find the targets too difficult on a particular station, then you can move closer to the path of the targets, or move farther away to make them more challenging.

For those that don't want to shoot, you can fish in their pond, but check with them first.

The food is great! Lots of homemade deserts. Best of all, you will probably have the whole place to your group. I have been there about five times over the years, and our group has always had a great time.

You need to look at the Big Easy in Columbus. Going to need to know a member to sponsor the deal though. Great place and has the shooting stuff along with amazing golf courses.

Depends on what you want. If you can catch them between teal and big duck shouldn't be too crazy.

Greystone Castle - I think they have enough rooms to handle 20 guest - about an hour west of Fort Worth on I-20 - a little more than 3hrs from Houston
