Got diverted off 10 this afternoon and saw about 100 of these going through luling headed to Houston via train.

I could also be a brigade from Fort Stewart or Benning returning from an NTC rotation.Alte Schule said:
During July and August several National Guard Units do their annual 2 week training at Ft. Hood (I refuse to call it Cavazos) and transport their vehicles, especially tracked vehicles, by rail.

Ha, no. I lived in central California, back in the '80s - before the Commies won in Cali irl.
I was in Beaumont in the early 90's. Would see 'em coming into town green, then see 'em all lined up at the port with a new coat of tan paint....RCR06 said:
Hard to say for sure. One of if not the largest ports(by ton) to ship military equipment from the U.S. is through Beaumont, TX which would line up with that general direction.

I was 10 when Red Dawn came out & my dad took me to see it. I saw it probably 5 or 6 more times in the theater and it was (along with Raiders of the Lost Ark) my favorite movie for a long time. I thought Jed Eckert was a badass and a role model for every American boy.
