My 12yo has decided she's ditching the rifle and crossbow this season and we got her set up with a compound. I used to love 3D shoots when I was in high school but you dont hear much about them anymore. Does anyone know of events around B/CS? She likes to compete, and it should be a great way to get her ready for hunting.

Look up the Brazos Valley Archery Club. They used to host a few 3d shoots when I was on the Archery Team.

The guys at Live Oak Archery would also be good resources for figuring out what is going on in the area.

RodeoHouston has a 3D shoot this year in addition to the target contest.

Competition is not limited to 4-H and FFA members. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 18 as of August 31, 2024, with a membership with one of the following organizations is eligible (4-H, FFA, TFAA, ASA, or USA Archery) who attends school and resides in the state of TEXAS.

If you're ever around Houston, Buffalo Field Archery Club has 3d shoots and they do a good job. I think it is once a month?
