I am using new galvanized 4" square tubing (1/8" thick) for structural supports on a fresh water pond pier. I know that galvanized steel is not bullet proof to corrosion over time, so I would like to add one more layer of protection to make it last as long as possible, hopefully my lifetime.
It looks like there are a lot of DTM paints out there that are meant to apply straight to galvanized. Does anyone have any real-life experience with painting Galvanized? I am looking for something that requires minimal prep work. I know a lot of these are expensive but that's not a deal breaker.
