If a small area, just dig it out (get nut) and throw the dirt away. backfill with a bag of good dirt. Treat if needed after.

I have a small area in my yard that I didn't want to get out of control. I bought this and sprayed the area last Friday, as of yesterday, everything is dead.

Killed the nutsedge.

We moved to a new house last month and I think this woman was cultivating nut sedge. Not only is it everywhere, but there are nuts sedge plants as tall as my thigh.

If you don't have that much of an area to spray and don't need to spray your entire yard, get you some Sedgehammer + packets for only $14.

DO NOT spray on any vegetable garden or your annual plant beds!

You can order it online OR if you have a SiteOne near you, they have Sedgehammer + (surfactant already in the little packet)

Each packet mixes in 1 gallon of water.

Spot spray each sedge plant. Usually takes 8-10 days to yellow and then will die out after that. You may have to re-apply if you don't get total kill on the first application.

DO NOT spray in your annual beds!

Sedge likes low spots in your yard where there's standing water or at least slower drainage. You'll need to correct the root cause after you knock it out with Sedgehammer.

I use SH on established St Aug lawn. If I go too heavy on the spray it will definitely yellow my turfgrass but it recovers.

This got rid of the nutsedge in my yard. Unfortunately, he also killed the grass.

Let me know if you need to borrow.

Hijacking to ask about what post-emergent I can use to kill crabgrass in a bermuda lawn.

I put down pre-emergent but the crabgrass has hit me hard.
Drive Herbicide; Quinchorlac is the generic.

I asked this same question not too long ago to a buddy of mine that is all up in that type of world.

So I used this **** and it killed all the crabgrass just fine but 2 months later it's back with a vengeance.
