Looks like we are losing our lease (of 9 years) this year. I hate to see a Fall go by with no significant hunting. So, now I'm brainstorming on what kind of hunt I can take my 14yo son on this Fall. Maybe exotic ? A guided duck hunt somewhere ? Antelope out west ? Just trying to start figuring something out. Any specific outfitters or ideas would be appreciated. My deer lease budget was about $6,000 so that's kind of a guideline. Thanks !

I would recommend a goose/crane in Lubbock with crooked wing outfitters. Plenty of action.

Pronghorn might be hard to find an inexpensive one. start getting points in Wyoming and Colorado.

Lots of bird opportunities on here for day hunts for cheap. I'd book a big game hunt somewhere for a long weekend trip then add on a duck or dove hunt later if you are still under budget or don't get anything on the other hunt. Hard to beat shooting an axis or whitetail and some hogs with friends and family.

Look into a nilgai/duck hunt down on the coast.

Talk to Dustin McRae with Texas Safaris. He is awesome and has access to tons of properties and can put you on just about any exotic you can think of.

I'll second a goose/ crane hunt. Crooked wing as mentioned is good, Sea to Sky is my usual suggestion if he isn't booked up, but there's dozens of them. Go with one that's established, not a group of tech students with OnX and some decoys. A lodge is usually a pretty good indicator they are serious about it.

The place we are losing is in the panhandle. I have seen cranes and geese by the thousands up there but never hunted them
