Can anyone suggest a good one? < $250-300.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

I've heard mixed reviews on the KitchenAid mixer attachment, but it's a consideration if you happen to own one of those.
I can the biggest hp motor I could find in my price range. That turned out to me a Northern Tool grinder that's probably 25 years old, but it's been great.

We had the kitchen aid one, and it was not really useful for wild game. For mixing some stuff you bought from the store and sliced up beforehand, sure. But processing a deer was really frustrating with it.
I got a $100 grinder from Academy (Game Winner #12 I think), and it is LEAPS and BOUNDS better than the kitchenaid. Im sure a modestly priced LEM would be even better. But the Game Winner is plenty to make some sausage from 2-3 deer per year, which is all we need.
