Title pretty much covers it here, I bought the Pentair Warrior SE from Marina Pool and Spa back in Summer 2021. Not too thrilled it did not last longer, though I never took it out of the pool except for cleaning.

Looking to get some recommendations for another one. Would prefer to stay under $1000. Our pool is on the larger side, though only 2 steps. Also is the place to buy still the Marina? If it helps, I am near The Woodlands, TX

Go with a Dolphin. The Nautilus CC is within your budget.

What died on it?

We had a dolphin that crapped put after two years in the pool and turned out was the power cord, shipped it in, they replaced it for cheap and chipped it back. Shipping was most expensive part of the deal.

Now we don't leave in the pool all the time.

This thread is relevant to my interests. We have a robot that came new with the pool in 2021 but it's starting to show its wear. It also gets stuck on the drains and I have to go rescue it.

The motor to function the tracks. The impeller motor works however it won't move forward or reverse. A new motor runs me $450 plus shipping and the unit has a crack on the outer shell so I'm not too interested in doing that route. Power cord works, and I verified there was nothing wrapped around the tracks or impeller to cause it to not drive.

Dolphin Quantum. Not cheap but it's built like a tank and performs like one as well. We use the included nano filters due to so much fine dirt making its way in. Have tried several, nothing was close in performance

We have had good luck with baracuda g3 pool cleaner. There is also a knockoff for way less that the cost of the g3 on Amazon made by vingli that looks very very similar to the baracuda g3

I just threw away an old dolphin that cratered and went with an

EVo614IQ ... cheaper, easier to use, and no issues so far. Will see how long it last.

When we purchased a house with a pool the previous owner said he just left it in the pool. I did that but that's not my right. The chlorine eats it up. Do not leave it on the pool.

I have a dolphin that has had the power cord replaced twice and the entire motor swapped out. Good news, warranty covered all of it. Bad news, their replacement parts took 6 weeks minimum all 3 times. My local pool store is great and they have decided not to sell Dolphin (Maytronics) anymore because of the warranty fullfilmentt time.

Mine is currently working great, but I would probably go with a Poloaris again. There is also some new one that skims the surface as well that is all over Instagram right now. I don't know how well they work, but I love the idea.

That is my concern about going with another maytronic as they just don't last and replacement parts are so expensive. I was hoping to see another brand has emerged with better quality even if the price was slightly higher.

Polaris Sport 3900.
Mine has been running for close to 10 years. Replaced the booster pump once. Handful of parts over the years. Biggest difference was a new hose between wall and cleaner last year. Hose gets stiff over age (if only I was so lucky…)

I just emailed Marina today about one. They steered me away from the nautilus. I've been hearing the Evo 604/614 are pretty good so thinking of going that route.

I just ordered the Evo 604 for $779. I did not think I would have any use for the WiFi function and I like that this unit offers dual active brush heads vs maytronics single head for the same price. It'll arrive Saturday, I can update this thread with my experience

Any update on the Evo performance?

I'm very happy with it and would highly recommend it. The dual wheel cleaning makes a big difference so if you need one I would very much recommend it.

Now I can't comment on longevity yet however it is doing well so far.

Thanks. My Warrior Si decided to give me trouble today. I think it's the power cord which is about $200 and it's nearly 5-years old so wondering what all is going to start going wrong on it.

Yeah don't leave them in the pool…learned that the hard way too.

This is what I have and it has been great so far.

Tired of Polaris getting stuck. Dolphin has great reviews on Amazon because people post them 3 days after delivery. But the evo has better reviews on the pool forums.

I just had my 3rd Pentair robot die on me in the last 4 years. It's no longer under warranty (warranty is only a year) so I'm thinking of buying the Evo614IQ. Does it matter if I buy online vs a brick and mortar Pool store? My main concern is the warranty as these things seem to be "break and replace" and you're lucky to get 3 years out of them. Anyone been having longevity issues with their Evo?

Have a dolphin sigma which is made by Maytronics. Works well and does a good job at picking up leaves and fine "dust" in the pool. It also cleans along the water line more than I thought it would be able to. My only annoyance is that it sometimes get stuck on the pump inlets in the deep end meaning you have to periodically check. It also is convenient to clean the filters after use.

I'm not sure. I bought mine from Amazon, I think. I still haven't had any problems with it.

I have a cordless Aiper Scuba S1 (bought on Amazon in June). Picks up leaves very well, and even the fine dirt that blows right through my Pentair Legend debris bag. Runs for about 3 hours on a charge, then you have to pull it out to empty and recharge it. Kind of inconvenient but I didn't want to mess with a cord. It was the best combination of good reviews and a budget price.
