How can I get this belt back on the wheel?

Long story short but my son tried to flip our golf cart

Been trying like hell to get this belt back in its groove but no luck

Any tips?

Im going for easiest fix if its available….. order a new one and cut that one out.
But from pic#1 it appears its on a swing bracket…. loosen the nut…..move the wheel in/ free the belt…. move the pulley back in place and retighten

Looking at picture #2, it looks like the threaded stud with the nut in the lower right of the bracket might be the tensioner. Back off that nut and see if the assembly moves.

Edit: the one with the leaf next to it.

Yes, photo 2 the right hand middle all thread bolt and tensioner nut need to be backed off. But first, will need to loosen the bottom bolt in the middle. The one behind the black cable in photo. Spray both good with penetrating oil or wd 40 first, loosen the bottom bolt, loosen the tensioner bolt until you can get the belt on, then tighten the tensioner and then the bottom bolt.

Also, to do this properly you should pull up a lawn chair, pop open a beer, and make your son do it.

This worked but the belt popped right back off

It's ****ed. Time to replace

I tried but he's 5 so it was taking too damn long. The chair and beer did happen though

It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads, and I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State.

Hell yeah, back at it

I had to take off the belt on the right to get the new belt in place

I'm sure this beater of a golf cart will need more repairs soon
