Any wisdom or insight on these bed covers? Are they worth the price tag?

Also considering a Retrax style cover but so many to pick from, any insight there would be very welcome as well.

I have one and I like it. I previously had a bakflip mx4 which I also liked. What I like about the switch back is it doesn't have the rails like the bakflip and is more water tight and secure from theft. The negative in comparison is the switch back is not as convenient to flip open and does not flip all the way open. Overall I'm happy with the switchback and would buy again.

I had an MX4 on a previous vehicle. I have a lomax on the current truck. I think the lomax is nicer.

I had one on my Ram 2500 before I got my Tundra. I liked it but I did find it hard to access some parts of the bed because of how it hinges in the middle. Loved the look of it and the sturdiness though. I would probably buy another one except for the fact that I'm gonna go full on Leer shell on my next truck

Although we don't have that specific model, I can comment on the brand. We've had Diamondback covers on both of our last two trucks. Great quality products, and yes - I do think they are worth the money. IMO they provide excellent security. DB is the only brand of bed cover that I will use going forward.

Have retrax currently… meh

Had an American roll lock on my last truck, much better product on all fronts.

Roll n lock. The aluminum not the plastic one. Best rolling cover IMO. I had one for 2 years, powder coating peeled off corner of 1 thin strip. Took it back by installer. Told me they rarely saw problems w that bed cover. They submitted a warranty and company replaced the entire cover. These days that is really rare. Customer for life now.
