I spent 16 days in elk country until finally seeing an elk on the last morning as I busted them out, not believing my daughter who spotted them first. Very proud of her again hiking/riding up n down rough country, always up early, carrying her own pack and 11# rifle. We did find a nice deadhead. Ghosts until we meet again.
Another hunter killed a sick bull at 40 yards using 3 shots and when he hit the dirt a mtn lion jumped right on him sinking teeth till the hunter scared him off. We caught his track 4-500 yds away and likely same cat captured coming out of cook tent in Sept.
