I don't read much, but my wife and daughters read a ton. She checks out books from the library via the Libby app. Libby is like a hub for the public library, so if you have a library card you can check out book and they'll go straight to your device. We're in Houston area, so we use Harris county public library and we have access. I dont know enough about the app to explain it more than that, but definitely something to look into if you're just gonna read it once and move on. Beats spending money on books that are just gonna sit on the shelf. Here's a video that might help:

This. Once your book(s) download, put your Kindle in airplane mode and you will be able to read the book for more than two weeks. After two weeks, the book will disappear if your Kindle is still connected to the internet. Airplane mode prevents this plus it makes your battery last even longer.
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Just finished "The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder"

Couldn't put it down, and highly recommend if you're a fan of non fiction history stuff. Actually reads like a fiction novel

Into Thin Air by Krauker is a recent read I couldn't put down.

And second Libby as an option. Can also get access to a bunch of magazines. With the libraries I have access to I am surprisingly able to access a number of gun, hunting and outdoors magazines. Looks like about 80+ including some from overseas.

The Wager is excellent. In that same vein, read "Endurance" about Shackelton's shipwreck in Antarctica. The audiobook has top notch narration.

Other outdoor favorites of mine:
"River of Doubt" T.Roosevelt's adventure in S. America
"Boone" Daniel Boone biography
"10th Legion" turkey hunting
"Coyote America" all about coyotes
"Undaunted Courage" about Lewis & Clark

Anything by Patrick McManus if you want something that will make you laugh.

Fate is the Hunter by Earnst K Gann if you want something about pilots and flying in the 30s and 40s.
