This. Once your book(s) download, put your Kindle in airplane mode and you will be able to read the book for more than two weeks. After two weeks, the book will disappear if your Kindle is still connected to the internet. Airplane mode prevents this plus it makes your battery last even longer.aftershock said:
I don't read much, but my wife and daughters read a ton. She checks out books from the library via the Libby app. Libby is like a hub for the public library, so if you have a library card you can check out book and they'll go straight to your device. We're in Houston area, so we use Harris county public library and we have access. I dont know enough about the app to explain it more than that, but definitely something to look into if you're just gonna read it once and move on. Beats spending money on books that are just gonna sit on the shelf. Here's a video that might help:
