Headed to pearsall. My #1 turd has started showing up to a gettable location. Was planning on going Monday, but the wind will be ass.

Wind is ideal till fri. Hopefully he stays put. Also hope I didn't forget anything. Tentatively planning on staying till Sunday.

Is that a feeder or a rocket silo, gonna need an 18 wheeler to fill that up, that deer isn't going far with a buffet like that

Got dang Mexicans drove through the fence. Also one of the houses at camp was wide open and there's some trash in it…

No luck. Group of pigs came in at dusk, but I didn't shoot. If I shoot they will go nocturnal till I leave.

I need them to go back to the feeder they normally hang out at. Them feeding in the daylight has pushed that buck to where I'm sitting. I scared them off and 10 min later they were at their normal feeder. If they stay there tomorrow morning I like my odds

60 and a little foggy. Didn't get light until about 7:15.

Ton of deer, but not the one I'm after. Not sure where he went. Saw the big 8 from yesterday, a 10 with a couple trash points, a young 8, and 10-15 does/fawns/yearling bucks


I thought sitting over a feeder was supposed to be a guarantee?!?

It is supposed to be a guarantee. Did you swap with Giddings? He hammered pigs earlier and now you got nothing… what's up with that?

Not gonna lie, when you said your #1 turd started showing up, I thought you meant that thing hanging on your mirror!!!

Set up a pop up at his preferred feeder. He won't come there if the pigs show up though. My options at this point are basically this

-Hunt pop up, shoot pigs if I see them to make them go nocturnal

-hunt where I've been sitting or the other stand he has been at lately. If I do this I'll turn off the feeder where pop up is

I feel really confident that if the pigs get shot at and disappear he will show back up where pop up is. But the deer there are super sketchy and not very tolerant.

I was also wondering what the hell that was.

Pigs will get run off after this evening. Not sure if I want to kill anymore, as there's only 5 left out here that I know of

Went back to the same stand. Saw 18 deer. Fawns and does were running around almost giddily.

Saw the deer I'm after. 5:20, looked up and he was 85 yds away. Almost as soon as I made a positive ID a deer behind me got into my wind and blew. Hunt basically over. Enjoying a premium beer by the fire, can't help but remember deer camp fires with my dad. Simpler times.

Humid 60 degrees. A little foggy. Daylight's gonna come late this morning

Productive sit, but no luck. Saw two bucks that showed up abt same time he did yesterday but he wasn't with them. 14 deer total.

Life check…

Sat in same spot. Turned off the feeder at his original spot. Saw the 2 bigger deer ( 8 and 10 w/ trash) and a few smaller bucks/ does. Was relatively slow this afternoon.

Hunting this deer is going to be a grind… he's not super
Regular anywhere where he's gettable. Where I'm sitting is the only place he's ever seen other than where I turned the feeder off.

I genuinely feel like if I keep sitting where I've been he will show up. It's only a matter of time. I am leaving Sunday, but will come back as soon as the wind changes back from e/se. Will stay until I get him or season ends.

I've got nothing but time

Ive been wanting to stretch the legs on my AR but lost the app with my holds. Thought I remembered, but apparently not. missed a javelina 3x from 344 with my 10.5" 556. Barely missed the first one low.
