What's the difference between this one and the 36" at Lowe's (also $100 off)?
Looks like TS carries the 1866 model and the one at Lowe's had the omnivore cooking plate. Is the Omnivore worth the extra $150?

Probably a hingeable lid vs a lift off lid? Not really sure to be honest? Probably a personal preference vs cost.

Not saying this is the case but manufactures often/sometimes have unique part numbers for different retailers.

I have a vx3i 2.5-8x that is collecting dust in my safe. Great glass for the money. Nothing against vortex for target shooting, I just find them to be heavy and darker than similarly priced Leopold's.
The Leupold VX Freedom line is great for a lower price point. I have one on my .22 WMR and it's a nice scope.
Waiting on my Meopta Optika6 3-18x56 with the illuminated reticle to put on an old Remington 700 in .22-250, but it's a little pricier than the VX freedom.
