I have an NVision and a Hogster. The NVision was twice the cost but the image quality between the two is minimal. Bering has great customer service as well.

Yes Bering Optics uses Infiray cores and a couple of their scopes are the same as the IRay just under a different brand. Both Bering and IRay USA are based out of the D/FW area - Bering in Irving and IRay USA in Lewisville.

AGM's thermal HQ is in to also I believe (may be az)

Popped our cherry last night with the Thermals! Service isn't good enough to let me upload pics but will shortly.

What a riot!!!

Anybody on here have or played with the Rix Leap L6? Looks like a decent scope for the price and their optical zoom and digital zoom seems cool.

Anyone have any experience with the Bering Optics Yoter? I got to look through one during the holiday and was curious to get your opinions on optic clarity versus some of the other scopes mentioned. My buddy that owns it likes the simplicity but hates the short battery life.

I have the 35mm 2-8x version and have been happy with it for the most part. I've run into a zero shift issue recently and might have to send it in for service. Not a huge issue as Bering has an awesome warranty and turnaround.

A friend of mine has the 50mm model and beats the hell out of it. He's had to send his back a couple time for broken screens. All because he's a heavy handed former infantryman and breaks *****

My buddy that is richer than 6' up a bulls ass has one of these. It's so fun to hunt with him. He has all the cool stuff from iRay.

The videos on YouTube w that optic are nuts. You can pretty much count the hairs on a boar's nutsack (if you're into that kind of thing)
That is oddly specific......

I recently bought an n-vision halo x 35 and It is much better than the pulsar trail 2 lrf I sold. In the process is learned that the higher the objective, the smaller the field of view, but the higher the optical magnification. 35mm starts at ~ 2X with wider field of view that 50mm that starts at ~2.5X. This is counter to what I believed.

FYI - I got a smoking deal off europtic. I call them and you would be really surprised how much they will work with you on most things.

This applies to every optic, not just thermal. As magnification increases, field of view decreases. It has to; it has no choice. Now you could compare two different optical designs where the FOV on a slightly higher mag optic could also have a wider FOV than some other optic at lower mag, but when comparing optics of the same design, FOV always decreases as mag increases.

Magnification and objective lens size aren't directly related however, even though in the thermal world, larger objective lenses are typically used with higher base magnification. Magnification is a function of focal length, not the size of the objective lens. Objective lens size is also not directly related to FOV; as the entire optical design determines FOV.
