We have a solo stove and we really enjoy it. It travels easy for the backyard, beach, bayhouse or just anywhere we want to make some smores with the kids.

They don't put off a ton of heat unless you are right next to it, but in Houston it's not that big of a deal. If you are looking for something just to have a fire going outside and cook some smores with, its perfect.

We have a Solo Bonfire and use it a lot. Gets going fast and very little smoke. We have the heat diffuser for cold nights.

We have a Solo Stove Bonfire and Yukon.

They're both great, but fit different roles.

The Yukon is huge, great for our back porch with the heat deflector. It really makes a noticeable difference for reflecting the heat down to people in chairs, vs it all going straight up. We have traveled with it on our camping trailer, but it takes up too much space in the bed of a Tacoma to be practical.

The Bonfire is very easy to transport and comes with us when we want a wood fire but need a pit or "leave no trace". With the bottom ring it doesn't singe the ground. We also have the cast iron cook top for it... which is fine, but gets very very hot.

i have never really understood the comments about Solos not putting out enough heat. When we get our Yukon rolling, you sure dont want to be very close to it. I think it puts out plenty of heat. Best fire pit i have ever used

Typical campfires are on the ground at your feet. Heat goes up and out.

Solo stoves have steel sides 18" tall. Heat goes up and out from there.

Great to stand next to, but not nearly as warm around it in a typical camp chair.

I have a solo stove bonfire that I can throw in the truck and travel with. You can buy all kinds of accessories for it including a heat deflector to disperse heat outwards.

Don't have one, but walking through Sam's the other day, noticed they now have one of these smokeless fire pits. It's 22" i think, so between the two big Solos. Stainless like all others, and quite a bit cheaper I think. There is nothing earth shattering about these, so imo brand shouldn't be important, it's just the Yeti vs knockoff convo all over again.

Yes, i understand the reasoning, but have never experienced it, so i don't understand the argument. I am saying i have not ever experienced a lack of heat from my solo, even while sitting. I would also argue that even if you do feel less heat, it is better given our climate.

Yeah I have a knockoff version of a solo stove. It's branded as Duraflame. It's different because the, uh, holes are squares instead of circles. Works great!

I saw an Old Country branded one at Buccees the other night for $130 or so. Black bbq paint, not stainless, but I'd try it at that price if something ever happened to my Solo Yukon.

I have a Breeo X30. It's massive and heavy (94lbs). They deliver it on a pallet and drop it at your garage door. We had to open it and take it out piece by piece to move it so we could get my wife's car out of the garage. It's definitely an investment, but I can't imagine ever needing to replace it.

When I was looking into the two brands I felt like the general breakdown was they perform pretty similar but to get a Breeo if you wanted a permanent installation or Solo Stove if you want to move it around. I didn't get the feel that leaving a Solo Stove outdoors in a permanent setup was a good move.

I also like the idea that if you want to build a stone surround, Breeo makes a sleeve so that you can slide it into the stone surround and have a stone smokeless fire pit.

We got the Breeo lid which keeps water out of it and turns it into a nice table. I tried to save a few bucks and make my own screen, but it failed. Ended up getting their screen which is really nice. Ours has the built in cooking ring. I really like the new removable design more. We got fire tongs, poker, and roasting spears from Solo Stove. Those items by Solo Stove are nicer than any other I've seen.

Agree with above. Breeo for the patio, solo for beach, camping, etc.

That step up in price to the Breeo 30 from the 24 is something else! ($680 difference)
