The Aggie spirit isn't just about the games; it's about the traditions that bind us. Every Aggie score leading to couples in the crowd sharing a kiss is a heartwarming sight, symbolizing unity and shared joy.

I fondly remember my introduction to this tradition back in 2012. While watching a game first time overseas I learned about the "kiss your date" moment. "Every time the Aggies score, tradition says we kiss," my future husband said. Suddenly, the game became a lot more interesting. I found myself cheering louder, eagerly waiting for those touchdowns, not just for the sake of the game, but for those sweet moments. When we eventually made our way back to Texas, one of the first things we did was buy tickets for the season's opening game. Being amidst the roaring crowd, the energy, the traditions, it was an experience like no other.

Lance, on the other hand, is all set to embrace this tradition in his own way. "I'm not an Aggie (nobody's perfect), so while I've kissed dates and been to football games, I've never done both in Aggieland. Yet. Better late than never, I always say! The first girl that takes this late bloomer to an Aggie game better bring some lip balm. I'm ready to embrace tradition."

We'd love to hear your Aggie stories! Share them in the comments, and let's relive those cherished moments together.

I took my then-girlfriend to the Texas A&M vs TCU game in 1986, the score was 7410 for the Aggies.
Needless to say we kissed A LOT!
She later became my fiance and now my wife of 34 years and going.

I also remember hearing my uncle talk about having to "kiss on first downs" in the early to mid 1960s.

One of my best friends asked a girl on a first date to that game. After it got over 42 or so, he started asking around if there was someone else who wanted to kiss her. She was very very nice girl but it was a little much for a first date (and actually, only their date).

We were at that game with my mom and dad (who, at that time, had been married for 30 years). My mom, after the game, said dad had not kissed her that much since their honeymoon!!! Laughs.

Top this story. My roommate was from Corpus Christi and his girlfriend was coming to a game and wanted to bring her good friend. My roommate asked if I would do the blind date thing to help out. I was all in as roommate's girlfriend was good looking and we know how that works. I had anxiety all week thinking about when Ags scored during game. This was 1971 and the Ags took care of my concern. Cincinnati came to Kyle and beat the Ags
17-0!

Ags didn't score, you didn't kiss. Story fail.

Just transfered to A&M in 1994 from Tarelton State. By myself at yell practice ans was talking to a girl next to me in the stands. As the lights went out she grabbed me and gave me a deep kiss. Afterwards she said "Welcome to Aggieland" never saw her again, but now wonder how many others she did that too. Lol.

Oh nearly 50 years old now and no herpes.
