I've never had so many - one feeder looked like wasps around a disturbed nest. I guess the drought leaves them little in the way of nectar out and about.

Same. Have a half dozen dive-bombing each other for spots at the feeder right now.

Rockport, Hummingbird Festival coming up here soon, THOUSANDS of 'em. Being from Midland for 40 years did not know much about them. Wow, had no idea those tiny critters could be so VICOUS to each other. We have one every year that sits on a oak branch above our feeders and Dive Bombs every Hummer that tries to feed.
