Looking to buy some new chairs for the ball field was curious if anyone has tried out the parkit chairs. Checked out the yeti chair and they are comfortable but was curious about the parkits. Haven't found anywhere in Austin that has them.

Here's what a Parkit chair looks like. (We have rules OP)

It's an old school 1980's lawn chair with a cupholder, detachable cooler under the seat, backpack straps to carry & better materials. I like the retro style, but hard pass.

I've contemplated getting a chair like this that swings back & forth like a mini hammock. About 1/3 the cost of the Parkit.

I have one of those swinging hammock chairs. It is AWESOME. Heavy, for sure. But it's everyone's favorite.

Personally- why anyone would pay anything close to a Yeti or Parkit chair is beyond me. Maybe I'm just lolpoor, but I could buy simple Academy chairs every year for the rest of my life for the cost of a pair of Yeti's. Hard to swallow for me, personally.

My Dad has a pair of the much nicer, thicker framed chairs (similar to the Yeti's). Cabela's brand, and I think he paid $75 each. They are very very comfortable, compared to my $9 chairs. I would highly recommend looking at them. There are several variations under $100, and even reclining ones for like $120.

Those old webbed chairs are the best. I treasure the few I have. Light as a feather and comfortable.

Yeah, I had several form my dad because he never threw away anything. When the webbing gave out, it got hung up in the barn to "fix some day". Then I had a couple someone was throwing away and some form my wife's foaming that were on the scrap pile.

I like making junk functional again but when I bought the webbing on Amazon, the price made me think twice. It was expensive but those chairs were probably 3 bucks a piece when they were new. Lol. I have two of the "recliner" style ones too that chewed up the last of my webbing.

So you agree with me? The Parkit chair is insanely expensive.

The chair I posted is like $75.00 all day at most.
