That was me… sorry, I ate some bad tuna last night and couldn't make it home
that was just a warning shot. Delaration of war would be a herd of them breaking into your house and leaving it looking like a monday morning after a 3 day long frat party had happened there.
They're cocky AF. Sometimes they come around at like 10 and I hear them, so I walk out to shew them off and there are like 3 who casually walk away. I'm sure if I could understand what they were saying it'd be "whatever, fat boy. We'll hit the neighbors and be back at 2."

I saw some at Bastrop State Park raiding the trash cans at night that must have weighed 50-60 pounds and they were not intimidated at all. Must have been twenty of them. It was like that commercial where they stole the garbage truck.

Had something similar at another state park when I was in college. Dozens of glowing eyes just outside the light from the fire. Creepy as hell. People throw them chips/etc. and bring them in.76Ag said:

I didn't witness it, but many years ago when camping at Enchanted Rock, an enterprising raccoon was able to shove off nearly a case of beer off the top of the cooler to get inside and grab some eggs. The guy that opened his tent flap to shine the light saw the raccoon hiss at him, then run away on three legs while balancing that egg he stole.

When I was at BNCOC at Ft. Knox back in 1995, the mechanics would put out dishes of dog and cat food and feed the raccoons and skunks. They had dozens of each come in each morning around 0530 to eat. It was cool until you were down on the ground stretching in formation and a squad of skunks would walk past you a foot away headed to the chow line.

I put out a 30 lb feed block for the deer. The racoons literally stole it. I found it like 200 yards away in the woods.
