Correct. All you really need is an action wrench, torque wrench, and a barrel vise of some sort. Well worth the investment to be able to re-barrel your rifle yourself.jpistolero02 said:
The thing that I would add here is if you went this route, you wouldn't need a gunsmith if you go something like Terminus Zeus or Impact on the action. Plenty of people will spin up a barrel and the tolerances are so tight in those actions, you can just put the barrel on yourself.
Now admittedly if you want to get real fancy and customize your barrel to your reloading dies (or vice versa) and/or to your load specs, etc you might want to get a custom barrel made to custom reamer specs, etc. But really - you're not likely to do that for your first one, nor do you need to.
