Looks like a 200 grain, .308 caliber, cast lead bullet with a gas check. I shoot one very similar to this in my 30/06 when shooting sub sonic loads.

Gas checked rifle bullet of some sort, caliber is hard to say. Usually those are cast by a handloader.

My guess would be a heavy-for-caliber .264 or .277 cast lead bullet that someone is using for a sub-sonic load. Assuming it was fired, the damage to the bullet from impact is minimal, which would make sense if it was fired at 1000 fps. Maybe from a 6.5 Grendel or a 6.8 SPC.

No. The above answers are correct its a regular cast bullet with a gas check.

Possibly for subsonic, but more likely not, as a gascheck is typically used for "fast" cast bullet loads.
Sorta looks like the 140gr GC bullets I use in my 6.5 Swede.

Unless someone has had a bunch of time on their hands I doubt it is a cast 6.8spc, heard a 120 grain works well but it takes some modifying. 6.8s like to be suppressed but if you want subsonic much easier to go with a .300 blackout

Weigh it and take a diameter measurement and we should be able to narrow it down more after that. It's definitely a cast bullet with gas check.

You can push hard cast gc bullets to high velocities when the correct line and headspace is used, with no leading.
