This is click bait to draw you in and create fake outrage. The president doesn't have the authority to ban gas generators any more than he did with gas stoves. Yeah, it might make a speech or a white paper as an idea but it's not going to happen.

Go worry about something that might actually happen and stop wasting your outrage on fake news.

This president attempted to force an experimental shot on essentially 100% of working Americans that only took the Supreme Court to stop it just a few days before being effective.

In addition to gas stoves, electric generators, forgiving student debt (on attempt #2) and all the other outrageous stuff the left is attempting to do, I'm not so sure that this is "fake outrage."

Authority. Lol.

Vaccine mandates
Mask mandates
Banning bump stocks (trump)
Banning braces
Forgiving student loans
Etc etc etc

I don't know the ins and outs of portable generators or their regulations but don't come around here and preach on authority as if the executive branch is held to such standards.

When they try to do this to boat outboards, they're going to have millions of outdoors types kicking the EPA's ass in the streets.

If they have demonstrated anything, it is the sheer arrogance that they know what is better for you than you do.

Hint: It just looks like that. In reality, it is not arrogance like that, but in the form that they don't care about you, just in the ability to control your life, in turn keeping them and their anointed brethren in power.

They'll do it to outboard boat motors, and if the industry can't keep up, . gov will be perfectly happy if your boat never leaves the dock. This will help you understand they are in control, Comrade.
"Green" is the new RED.

The EPA can damn sure regulate their emissions standards and regulate them so narrowly that they are all but impossible to engineer, in effect banning them in doing so, or nearly banning them. It drives manufacturers out of the market by opening them up to legal action in addition to fines.

It's a gradual process. They know not to go for it all at once.

Stop what? Not letting myself get caught in a fake outrage story from a fake news company designed to drive eye balls to adds?

Your parallel with bump stocks in weak at best and that got slapped down by the courts in days not years, because guess what? Our system isn't rigged against you and actually works when agencies over step their bounds like the ATF did.

This should go to the politics board and doesn't belong here so this will be my last post on the subject.

Bump stocks have only been "slapped down" by the 5th circuit. Still illegal to own everywhere else in the US. That tells me the courts aren't working. If they were, we'd have a nationwide injunction, like every time the other side has an unconstitutional hot button issue to push.

The same can be said about courts having "slapped down" pistol braces, FRTs, and the 80% lower rule. Hasn't happened nation wide for clearly unconstitutional mandates from an executive agency. Congress is broken, the executive is out of control, and the judicial plays by different rules depending on where you live. Checks and balances are quickly disappearing in our republic.

Again, all it is is a summary of a 256 page pdf of a rule proposal from a federal agency.

There is a link to the pdf in the article if you'd prefer that. Yes it goes directly to a .gov site.

I know nothing about the publisher. Saw it on Twitter and thought the good OB ers would genuinely appreciate a warning so they could actually pull the trigger on a valuable piece of equipment. That is why it's here and not some other board.

Those honda generators are phenomenal! Used to have on for work for our BBQ trailer. Zero complaints!

I'd also look into the harbor freight predators too. I don't have first hand experience with them but they're about 1/2 the cost and they seem to be just as quiet and almost as reliable as the Honda, according to a few of buddies that have them. Again, no personal experience but for half the cost it is something I have been considering picking up to have as another more portable option in an emergency situation.

I can't believe we've gone nearly 2 full pages without a single reference to 'The Great Reset'.

I can't believe it's taken two pages for a certain poster to attempt to say some inane, pointless "gotcha" that actually just reinforces how much of a troll they are and their inability to present, much less defend, their terrible take on things relating to OB topics.

I wish TexAgs woulda been around when seatbelts were mandated.

I can only imagine the outrage....

Texags was around when "they only want to get married" and now we have drag queens and kids, puberty blockers in common lingo, men dressing as women and playing sports, 1/2 of Hollywood with a "trans" kid, the entire month of June a showcase for men to dance naked in the street in front of children, etc, etc.

Yeah, nothing to see here….

I have a Westinghouse inverter that is nearly Honda quiet at around 1/4 the cost. I haven't had any issues other than I wish it had electric start.

Predators can be good but make sure to buy the extended warranty. HF's 90 can be rough with stuff like that.

You didn't even read about what's actually happening. It's the CPSC. Google it if you won't like the source provided.

From the article:
"CPSC expects the proposed rule to prevent 2,148 deaths over 30 years"

50 amps equals approx 6000 watts.
No idea what your A/C units draw, especially at startup.

You will need a pretty big generator to run 2 AC's. The smaller Honda 1000's have enough current to run a smaller AC but you have to install a soft start kit because the initial load exceeds the units capability. Some buy two and wire them in parallel to get enough amperage. Find an RV Forum or dealer and they can help you. The bigger generators are defiantly 2 people territory to move.

Na.

Look at all the rules they are passing or in the process of.

They don't want Americans to be self-reliant, these moves are all to put everyone into the hopper to have their lives managed (and damaged) by the Feds if they don't bend the knee.
