Looking for a bay guide around Port A. Prefer to not have to go to Rockport if possible.

Prefer to find someone around Port A or near JFK causeway.

bump03: Can understand not wanting to come to Rockport from Port A this time of year, ferry waits approaching and sometimes exceeding 1 hour!

Just got back from a week in Port A: fishing was very tough.

A few short specs and a redfish per day, few lady fish.

Went w guide 4 days, on kayak other days.

HOT HUMID mosquito bites.

Crowded; lots of traffic. Won't be back during summer.

Leaves out of Clem's. Caught limits of trout (19-22.5) and black drum (about half in the 6-7 lb range). Went down to Baffin (45 min). Both charters after us caught limits of reds. Charter yesterday got limits of all three. I've probably fished with him 5-6 Times.

Adam Nesloney and his dad, I assume. Adam is a good guide (airboat out of Goose Island).

Yep. That's them. Lots of guys in the marine business use them for their own trips. Seem to be good folks.

I have gone with this guys a handful of times since 2017. I have always came home with a trout limit and a drum limit (some times reds sometimes black). Great Captain.

Thanks everyone for the input.

I have fished with the Nesloneys before and highly recommend them but didn't want to drive to rockport.

We ended up booking with South Bound.

I've used him a couple of times and he's good. He has a place to stay and will feed you as well.

Just had a great experience with Captain Blake, a Rockport & Port Aransas fishing guide.
https://texascrewd.com/

My buddies and I were recommended to fishing with Captain Blake recently, and we had a blast. We had an incredible day on the water, and Captain Blake put us on a limit of redfish within the first few hours. His ability to find the fish and his advice on casting and retrieving our baits were on point.

His boat is one of a kind, perfect for getting in tight spots other boats can't. He had plenty of water for us and had no issues with us kicking back several cold ones on the water. He cleaned, bagged & separated all our fish for us too.

If you're looking for a fishing guide who is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about his craft, I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Port Aransas.
