Are the chamber sealers really leaps and bounds better than the other ones?

If so I might buy this one….

They're just a lot more versatile. If all you're doing is occasionally sealing meat in bags, I don't think they're worth the extra cost. If you use it a ton, or need to seal liquids, they're phenomenal.

Just got this about a month ago, so not a lot of usage yet. I like what I've seen so far.

I use this for everything from chicken breasts to whole briskets.

I think it is a ton better. I can seal birds, fish, deer, etc my dad and I shot much faster with a better seal. Have even used it for bulk chicken, pork chops, and other meat from Sam's. The bags are cheap (5-10 cents apiece for most), and there are a lot of size options. I have a bigger model and can even seal mason jars in it. I'm seriously considering getting the smaller one for the lease.

The down sides are it is a much bigger size and they weigh a lot more than vacuum sealers. So it would be ideal that you have a dedicated place to keep and use it so you're not having to move it around for each use.

I have a Vacmaster VP230 which is by far my favorite sealer I've ever had. My other sealer is the Weston Pro 2300 which works well and is in your budget. I use it for ribs, briskets, and other things that don't fit in the chamber sealer and it works great.

I have the chamber vac from ANOVA. Someone one food board posted a Black Friday code and I got it for $300 I think. It works great. I have used about 500 bags through it without any issue. Takes a few secs longer than my brothers vac-master but was about $1k less lol. I'd rec the hell outta it.

Somebody pointed it out above, but chamber sealers take up a ton of room and are heavy enough that just grabbing it out of a cabinet is a pain. My Food Saver stays out on my counter and takes up very little room. Which makes it easier to use for me, and means i use it versus getting aggravated at having to get it out, etc and ultimately not using it at all.

I also can use the expandable game bags with it, which are great for when i batch up 25 lbs of sausage grind at a time and can seal it up in essentially a long tube that fits perfectly into the stuffer.

I also seal up quarts of stock at a time without any problems. Its great because the bags lay flat and stack on one another easy in the freezer. Also makes thawing out fast.

If you are doing a lot at a time, you do have to wait between sealings. But i have learned to pace my work so that i either dont wait or the wait is pretty short.
