How much would you pay for four nights in two days of fishing for an Alaskan halibut.

Halibut Fishing Trip - 2 days private charter for up to 6 people, 4 nights lodging in Seward, AK

I for l did this yesterday. If you rent the whole boat I'd guess it would be several thousand dollars per day. Most of the charters are 12 hours long because they might drive 3 hours to get to the fishing grounds. That was my experience at least.

Well from my time living up there charter rates are $350-$400 per person. Lodging is 200-300 a night per each room.
So 6 x $350-$400 = $2100-2400 for charter fees
3 rooms at $200-$300/night x 4 nights = $2400-$3600 lodging.
So you're looking at anywhere from $4500-$6000 for 2 days of fishing and 4 night's lodging. You also need to factor in incidentals. (Food, drinks, licenses, gear, fish processing & packaging). You could add at least another $1000-$2000 for that.

We are doing 3 days of fishing this August in kodiak. 2 days halibut one day fly fishing the river.

300 to 400 per person per day seems appropriate.

$1000 flight
$300 per night for VRBO split 4 ways
$150 per day rental SUV split 4 ways
$350 per person per day fishing

$??? To ship fish back. They are going to overnight once we get back.

So roughly $3k per person plus food and incidentals.

Went in 2019 before Covid hit with some buddies. Then it was about 3k a person all in. So probably little more now due to Brandon's inflation.

Who are you doing your ocean fishing with?

Also, I'm pretty sure I used to work with your youngest brother at HP.

Please don't use fish n chips when you're on Kodiak. Unless their new guy has taken completely over, the owner is extremely unreliable. I had a bad experience with them and then had a conversation with a guy two months ago that still guides and lives up there. He confirmed their reputation too.

I've been to Kodiak 4 times and fished on 3 different boats with 5 different captains, so there's a small chance I've fished with whatever captain harge57 is using. I haven't been back in several years, but I don't recall Fish n Chips from my trips there.

Heading to Kenai with some guys in about a week. Two days salmon, one day halibut, one day whitewater rafting, and one day heli-hike glacier. Total before shipping fish back is about $5500 plus airfare.

So you're not just going for the halibut?
