It's a first production year (1993) Belgium made BAR Mark II Safari. Does anyone know what a fair sale price for this gun would be? Chambered in 30-06

The BAR is my favorite hunting rifle. Mid 70s production. Heavy enough so very little felt recoil in 7 mag.
Beautiful rifle op. No idea on price but any idea of how many rounds? Could show a photo of the barrel end.

I would start by looking for comparables on GunBroker

Looks to be in excellent condition. Current Blue Book shows it at $985 (98%) and $1125 (100%) Without the Scope.

Most firearms listed now on Gunbroker are dealers posting them at inflated bid prices. If you watch a particular firearm on there you will see it show up a number of times over 5-6 months or more.....they never are really sold at those prices..... The dealers post them and bid on them themselves, then let it expire and post it again under another name. Gunbroker really changed over the last few years due to demand of some firearms.
Guns International is a lot more realistic but the same dealers will post the same guns on their as well...you gotta keep an eye out.

So $1000 would be a fair Texags's price?

my dad has one in .270. its one of my favorite rifles to hunt with. great looking rifle!

What I do is watch a particular firearm. After the seller has re listed it multiple times as a bid they will post a buy now price.
If I don't see it re listed in a couple of weeks or months I kinda figure it sold..... maybe for that price. They don't post the sold amounts but the key is watching what guns keep reappearing.
I watched one that was listed for a very inflated bid price get re listed 5-6 times in a year. Then I saw it listed at buy now for $300 less than the original starting bid.
Guess the dealer needed money.
A few of the auctions, like Gunrunner, will show the actual real sold price.

I would think $950 with scope is a fair price. Good luck with the sale. My grandfather had one that my dad now hunts with so I have a soft spot for that gun.

If it had been in .270 Weatherby it would be worth almost double those prices as Browning only built them for one year and few were made.
