One looks kind of like parsley or carrot tops and the other looks a little like ivy. Never had them in a St Augustine yard before.

The ivy looking stuff is choking out the grass and taking over.

Thought this was about Willie's 90th birthday party at the Hollywood Bowl.

Bottom one looks to be ground-ivy/creeping Charlie

Not 100% but it looks like some wild carrots in n the first pic. There is an app you can download and it's pretty accurate.

Unsure re: the top pic, but the bottom one looks like "hensbit", a pesky weed that will suck all of the moisture out of the ground, and develops a mat of "furry" burs that will attach to anything they contact, when mature! They are a nuisance to farmers left untreated.

Top looks like lawn burrweed. I hate that stuff. Hurts like heck if you go barefoot in your yard.

Either way, you're dealing with a broadleaf week in a grass - a somewhat sensitive grass. Get a product called "Weed-b-Gone" for Southern Lawns or similar product specifically labeled for St. Augustine. The hose end sprayer stuff works fine. Be sure to add some Dawn soap to the spray mix. If you spray a little and the grass isn't "wet" with the solution, add more Dawn.

Bottom one is not ground ivy… although I have that in other locations.

The carrot looking one did seem to have some pokey bits on it.. it hurt when I pulled it if I wasn't careful.

This, and follow the label directions to the letter, or you can harm your grass. You may have to spray it more than once to kill it. Whatever you do, don't think "if one ounce/gallon is good, two is better" because you can kill the St. Augustine.

Bingo! That's why I often recommend the pre-mix hose spray.
