These are from near Inez, TX in Victoria County. I live up around Georgetown and we are a few weeks out from good numbers of ripe ones up there.

As a kid I picked (and ate) a whole lot of dewberries in Inez.

Have a lot of them on some property that I need to bush hog but have strict orders from my wife not to do so until the berries have played out. Ours are still a good bit away from being ready to pick.

We're in College Station and have berries spread out over about 4 acres. My son got a handful of black ones yesterday, and saw a few clumps of red, but most of ours are still green. Gonna be ready over the next few weeks though.

Did you live near there? I grew up there from birth to college.
