Georges Auto Glass in Bryan. We have used them twice, quick and easy to work with.

Check Tomball auto glass. They were $150 cheaper than anyone in B-CS. Appointment only and didn't use import glass.

Obligatory Safelite. Have always used them w our insurance and been happy w their work.

I just had a pretty awful experience with Safelite. Paid for the home service, but I wasn't home. Discovered the next am the tech installed the glass crooked and it was already chipped (during instillation, looks like he was trying to straighten it by prying on it).

Several emails and calls to customer service went unanswered. Finally got someone at the end of the day, and she told me I had to drive in to a Safelite shop in the am. 40 mins each way. I am traveling on vacation. So, I dump the family for the morning, drive in and the shop immediately says the windshield was installed incorrectly and needs to be replaced. I won't be back in town for a month, and there is no service where I live. So, they are happy to replace it for free in a month when I return. But I'll have to make the 40 min drive again each way. They did not offer to come to me for service, and I have called and emailed customer service requesting a refund of my $60 extra I paid for at home service. I have not heard back.

I will never use them again. My parents own a business, and they get several windshields a year on their trucks. and stopped using Safelite several years ago for similar reasons.

I would 1000% go with a local shop, and not Safelite.

I used safekite once. Never again.

I make a claim. Only independent shops. Only OEM glass. Chip repair is really the best. I don't want to break a factory seal if I don't have to. I used to drive a lot and had tens of repairs every year. Free reimbursement.

Anyway, pretty much anyone but safelite.

Looks like I've dodged some bullets w safelite. USAA has a contract w them and always suggested them and they've done a great job. Come to work or house, are on time, repairs and replacements have been spot on. Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

Safelite is the LAST place you want to go. Customer service is not on their list of things to do.

I wanted update the thread with some feedback on David's Auto Glass. It's been a long time since I was this impressed with a service related transaction. David took care of my daughter's windshield and also replaced a worn trim cowling which we suspected was creating some road noise as she travelled at highway speed.

David came to her work and replaced both parts. He also called her as she travelled home yesterday to confirm the road noise issue was resolved.

Class act.
