How long do you want to ignore this user?
Quick backstory. Fished all of my life. Bought my first boat 2012. Living in Houston. Sold it Feb 2016 because I just wasn't able to use it enough. Apr 2016 I get a job in Austin. 2 months after selling my boat. Of course. Anyway, we have moved a couple of times. 2019 I sold 90% of my fishing tackle because I was tired of moving and storing it. Feb 2020 we moved to Jonestown. Jones Brothers park on Lake Travis is literally down the hill. Haven't thrown a bait since 2017 when I was on a saltwater trip.

October last year wife bought me a blow up kayak for my birthday.I didn't get it out until 3 weeks ago. Took it out. Paddled the kids around. As I was paddling, I thought I really want to fish.

Tuesday the 7th I dropped the kids at daycare. Stopped at academy and picked up some tackle. Went out for 2 hours. Not a bite. But I was enjoying just casting and working a lure. Over the last week and a half, I've been hitting the park for a bit here and there fishing from the bank. No fish. No bites. Nothing. But I've been enjoying knocking off the rust.

Today I took the kayak with me to the job site in Marble Falls. Put in at the park there in downtown. had about 45 minutes.

Fishing a weightless Senko. Green pumpkin magic. Classic go to bait for me. I'm back on the board, and I'm back in the fishing mode again.

Just like riding a bike…err kayak. I guess kayak is more appropriate in your case.
