Have a show steer in Refugio area that's ready to go to packer. Glenn's in Halletsville is who we used last time but they are out to July. Dean and Peeler is July +. Divine Meats has early March openings but don't know much about them. I live in Bandera but travel to Corpus a lot. Anyone have any recs for a good trustworthy custom place that vac seals?

We just had a steer processed at Hometown in Luling because all of our normal places were booked out like you were saying. They are brand new so they have spots open. Everything came vacuum sealed and labeled individually which I appreciate.

M&M in Lampasas if that's not to far. Aggie owned and they usually have good dates to get a steer in. Harvest House is good too but I know there wait times are pretty long.

Have never used them but, if you do, get a burger at Storm's while you're in town.

I've used M&M a few times and they are great. They also have a great meat market. Yea I eat a Storm's Special at least once a week. I'm from Burnet and also know the owner pretty well.

Meatheads in Gonzales, no telling when their next available slot is though.

M&M's jerky is some of the worst "food" I've ever eaten but their jap cheese snack sticks are some of my favorite

Thankfully Storms has gotten better. There were a few years after Mike took over, Robbis left and Mrs Storm died that the food in Lampasas was just disgusting. I found chunks of electrical insulation in a Storms Special around a decade ago and quit eating there for a few years. Now it's like every other fast food joint and depends on who is in the kitchen. When it's good, it's really good though

Janeks has an opening next week and price is right for vac sealing. Thanks for the heads up. Maekers had opening mid March but was $0.25/lb higher for processing

Not sure how far you wanna drive but the in-laws take all their beef to Local Cuts in Zephyr (about 3 hours from you). They've used a to of processors and they like these guys.

I've actually got a side we're splitting with them hanging there now.

Did you try the mercantile in Utopia or Regal meats or Uvalde meat in Uvalde?
