So Benders "scope nerd" thread influenced this one. I am looking for the brightest everyday carry and hunting flashlight I can get for $200.00 ish. I need to replace one I really liked and lost, not made anymore. Was pretty damn bright but smaller. So many flashlights on Amazon I need some real world advice on what would be the best choice. Don't really care if it's rechargeable or not. Honestly would rather it wasn't, but looks like everything is nowadays. Any assistance here?

I can't tell you if its the best one or not, but I've been buying Fenix lights for 15 years now. I have about 5 or 6 after buying mostly Surefires for the previous decade or so. The Surefires are now my backups, except the ones in my vehicles and in the drawer by my bed.

Academy has this line/Davinci. Worth every penny.

A great website for flashlight research and reviews is candlepowerforums.com. It can be a bit of a rabbit hole if you haven't ever been there before, but really good info.

Olight is generally decent but tries to pump themselves up with paid social media personalities. You can buy the same or better quality from China for less.
