Anybody explain the differences in the Sights between the models. Standard, X-ray and I like the snag free SAS but not sure on the "Bullseye" sight. Any recs?

Editing for clarification - I haven't put either of the xray or bullseye in my hands. Curious what thoughts are on target acquisition and if they would be good for someone with less than perfect vision. Only wear readers but sometimes that can cause issues.

Dont like the SAS sights at all.

A red dot would be easiest to see, and they have 365 models that come pre milled for it.

I have the regular p365 that came with the X-ray and I have a XL that came with the x-Ray sight but also had the optics cut. The X-ray sights are great, but my XL with the red dot is just plain accurate and very easy to hold fist size groups with at 45 feet! I have shot a buddies SAS and detested those sights, yes it's snag free but I just couldn't get use to them.

Perfect. That's what I was expecting with the SAS. Appreciate the input. New gun day right around the corner!

I highly recommend the 365x/Holosun red dot combo!

Don't do the SAS.

It's like sighting down a coffee stirrer. Has the disadvantage of requiring skilled practiced presentation like a red dot, without any of the advantages of the red dot (target focus, single focal plan, see more detail of the guns movement).

Came here to say this. Some like the 365XL for the longer barrel, but either "X" model will have the slide pre-milled.

I shot one with SAS, and hated it.

I went with the 365XL with standard, and it is great.

The X-Macro is phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Do you all prefer the Holosun to the Romeo?

Xmacro is probably my next gun!

I have the x Macro too, with holosun dot and absolutely love it

Does the size difference in the XL and X Macro negate them from being a pocket gun? Gonna go put my hands on them this weekend but haven't compared.

I believe the housing on the Romeo is plastic.

Take a look at the Hellcat as well. The U dot sight works better for me and I prefer the grip of it over the P365. I find that I shoot the Hellcat Pro better than all of the 365s, but naturally everyone is different.

I wouldn't try to carry my X-Macro in my pocket, but it is very slightly bigger than my Shield. It's a very small amount bigger, but I'll take that trade everyday for an additional 10 rounds.

Totally true - I held a lot of micro and subcompact pistols and my hand loved the xl macro

And yes it is still a small pocketable gun - think of it as a jumbo shrimp- much smaller than my other pistols

I run this set up right now. Wanted a lower cost RDS to try one out before going all in. You are right the housing is plastic but it comes w a metal shroud you install over the housing to protect it from damage. Have carried it many hours this way. No issues.

Have any of you run into issues with the P365 extractor pin when installing a red dot? I got a 507c to put on my Macro. When I went to install last night, it would not sit flush on the slide. Almost, but not quite. I've seen this issue mentioned elsewhere. The roll pin sticks up VERY slightly, and interferes sight.

Fortunately, it looks like 10 seconds with a punch will remedy the situation, but just FYI if anybody else runs into the same problem.

RDS is the answer for your old eyes. I'd recommend the Holosun as others have previously mentioned.
You may also find that changing the grip module out helps the gun to fit your hands better and improve recoil management. The Wilson Combat grip module runs around $75 and takes 5 minutes to swap out.

I have the SAS and probably should have just gotten the normal sights. I don't hate the SAS sights but snagging on a sight post isn't really much of a problem to begin with imo. Whatever model you get, this trigger guard holster is awesome.

I have another sig p365 question. I have the xmacro with holosun sight, and want to conceal it inside my backpack. Im worried that lint will fill up the red dot glass if it sits in a normal holster, so I'm thinking of some kind of pouch/holster that would fully cover the dot and gun inside the backpack…do y'all know of any products that could meet that need? Thanks!

Ed def get lint in them but not enough to be an issue in my experience
