That's awesome. Y'all got a good program going on over there for sure. Having a coach that can pitch to these kids at that age, makes all the difference.

I have two of the best baseball jobs in town. I run the 11u AAA select team and occasionally coach first for them. But I try to stay off the field. My son is on that team. All but one came out of BYBA starting at 5.

I also coach a tball team in fall ball, almost exclusively first time players. It is the most fun volunteer job in the world. Nothing beats seeing a kid who I got to be the first coach for throw his first pitch or hit his first home run years later.

The most embarrassing thing about the A&M hitters last year was inability to lay down a bunt. Teach those kids how to lay down a sacrifice bunt.

And there's a lot teaching that can be done on a tee.
