Outdoors is always my go to board for stuff like this. Any chance one of you in the Houston area has a set of youth catchers gear laying around. It looks like we are going to be catcher by committee on my sons team. I don't mind buying a new set later, just want to see how he does to start.

Play It Again Sports has been fantastic for this, in the event you can't find someone. Has saved me so much money, especially when the 2nd daughter decided to start catching too. This may be obvious, but pay attention to sizing as well. I have had issues with both shin guard length and chest plate sizing as the girls have grown. Good luck!

Age and size, my boy was fairly small but got stuff a little big for him so may work.

This is for a 9 year old team. He's a few inches over 4ft.

Hope the gear works out, as I told your sister, it definitely is not new but works great and you pass it to the next kid. When your done pass it to someone else if possible! Glad I could help out.
