I still live in the Heights. I'm a member of a private campground in Milam County and am getting roped into the Land Management Committee due to my experience with infrastructure and relative youth (compared to everyone else on the committee). I usually spend some time out there once a month.

For real. Our current landsite coordinator is 83. When I went to the quarterly meeting with the info I got from the OB on how to kill yaupon, they thought I was some sort of god.

My dad and step-mom had retired to Lake Mathis and lived there for good long while.

My dad joined the VFD and maybe a committee or two and was the young buck of the crowd. And he was in his 60's!

You must look like a teenager to them.
