Going to a local place to get on the axis. Wife is hunting for an ~33" axis and I'm going for a doe, but may add something else. Plus, it's the wife's bday today, so should be a fun trip. Ditching John Wayne at boarding now.

Long story short, her and the guide made about a 400 yard stalk and she put it right on his chest at about 80 yards. Done deal. Solid birthday present. Love a successful hunt. And yes, the Bleedmore did it.

Didn't measure and he's already off to the taxi. One of the guides is dropping him off on the way home. I don't think he was the real big one though. Still a solid ~30"er. Wife is pumped with him.
