Are these any good? I'd like to stay in this price range.

Have those 3m peltor posted above, mine are black though. Had them for probably 5 years. Really like them, especially for group hunting like dove and upland birds(probably duck too) because I can hear people calling out birds, but also still have hearing protection. Traditional foam plugs provide more hearing protecion so I generally use foam plugs at the range.

How do those electronic earplugs work for concerts?

I've seen some listed on Sweetwater that claim to attenuate sound down to an acceptable level so you still hear the music with a good mix, just not as loud.

Are these good for that or just for sudden noises like an impact or alarm and muffling out background noise like machinery?

I've seen some earmuffs that do all that and have connectivity to phone or wallow talkie, but I'm not wearing those to a concert!

Surefire EP7 is my choice. Only ones I have found that I can wear comfortably for extended periods.

I have Decibullz that I really like, only drawback is having to be careful about leaving them in a hot truck.

I have these, same price range and performance, I have no trouble wearing them for extended periods, set of 3 replacement foam covers for $10, free shipping and made in USA. You can get a bluetooth version for an extra $100

NO AMNESTY!

in order for democrats, liberals, progressives et al to continue their illogical belief systems they have to pretend not to know a lot of things; by pretending "not to know" there is no guilt, no actual connection to conscience. Denial of truth allows easier trespass.

Anyone used Axil? They are half off right now and have considered pulling the trigger.

I have them and have used them past few years. Mine are the first generation and battery life isn't the best. But that's with me listening to music through a hunt when in a deer stand. I have no real complaint about them but have switched over to using my air pods more this year.

I bought a set of the walkers BT silencers 2.0. Like them a lot.

I'm in search of good ear protection. Are earplugs or ear muff better for shooting?

Depends on your preference. I had a $850 set of in ears go swimming while duck hunting. So I went back to muffs. It was a depressing day. I like both

Inears were Soundgear. They are fitted by an audiologist. Great set. I guess they have a tether included in the set for a reason. My dumb ass didn't use it.

Muffs are MSA Sordins. So far so good

And i know that for sure, cause i do online free hearing test every month and it doesn't change for years now. Consider also i have a very noisy environment at work, so that is kinda miracle. Ear protection is not something to save one, better think about the quality.

I read a study that ear muffs are better protection but not as convenient. Just have to decide of you feel like buds are good enough for you.
