A friend of mine's mom had a Rottweiler that died a while back, and he's looking to get her a puppy as a gift.

He has done some looking himself, but said of the ones he's seen, the parents did not look great. I told him I'd ask on here because, well, the OB knows stuff

He wanted to get it for Christmas, but obviously chances are next to 0 on that.

Located in Wharton Co (Danevang), but I imagine he'd be willing to drive a bit for the right dog.

We got ours at Prairie Valley. The breeder is in Whitney so it's a little drive but wasn't too bad (we are in Houston). Dogs are gorgeous but the breeder is a bit unorthodox for some (recommends raw diet, ~2 years old before spay/neuter). Our "puppy" is now 8 months old/92 lbs and we've been feeding him a raw diet. We think it's doing good things for him. Some pics of then and now. We would have no issues getting another from this breeder, she loves the breed and has the puppies best interest. You get to choose the sex, but the puppies are assigned after she gets to know you and she can see the temperament. So far of the last litter (6 puppies) all of us are really happy with it. Happy to talk more if needed.

The German ones are much better looking dogs as a general rule, but AgFly's looks cute.
