I laid some new zoysia zeon back in September. Things were going great for 85% of the lawn, but a few areas always struggled. Even with extra water.

What do y'all think this might be? Disease?
Oh, and these pics were taken a few weeks ago before any cold weather really set in.

Zoysia patch. Spray some fungicide if you haven't gotten a freeze yet.

I had some granular fungicide ( Heritage G). Applied last week. Will those spores continue to cause damage after a freeze? Was thinking about make the 2nd application in 3 weeks.

It just has to grow out of it, so once the grass goes dormant that's not going to happen. Heritage is a good preventative but it's slow to treat active fungus. Next year I'd put some out around mid September and then again about 3-4 weeks later.

Thanks! We are proud of it. Just need this dang grass to take off and this project will be done.
Guess we will wait until next spring. I have a lawn sand leveling project in my future next spring, too!

Good to know.
I wouldn't hurt anything by spraying next week when temps warm back up, will I? Rather try a a trizole like Tilt (or another form of cheap propiconazole) for the quicker response.
