Lots of good Ags helped make the gin into a classroom for me son recently. This time we focused on how they coordinate the operation of the 100 or so machines in the process flow.

The last of their cotton was off the yard when I went by yesterday.
NO AMNESTY!

in order for democrats, liberals, progressives et al to continue their illogical belief systems they have to pretend not to know a lot of things; by pretending "not to know" there is no guilt, no actual connection to conscience. Denial of truth allows easier trespass.

My great-uncle (married my grandmother's sister), H.D. Madsen was a big time cotton farmer in Danevang back in the day. Never met him, but heard lots of stories. He apparently lived up to being Danish.

I used to work in the Agronomy department for the coop, my office was in building up by the road. The Danevang crowd is the best group of farmers around that area, most have retired that I worked with but I try to keep up with them.

Yep, Keith is one I worked with. His last year farming was my last year in a sales job.

Knew H.D. growing up. He and my grandfather were contemporaries.

Our family has put many bales through that gin and its predecessors over the years.

Very cool video. My wife's family immigrated from Denmark and settled in Danevang. Some of the Danish surnames on her side were Skow and Jensen.

Was a Jensen just down the road a few hundred yards across from the coop. Cant remember his name though. Been too long since I lived down there.

Glad to see Roppolo and the team took care of y'all.

He was an awesome boss that got my career started and remains an amazing Aggie.

I worked for Dr. Carl Anderson in Extension Ag Eco 20 years ago. I remember Mr. Roppolo well and how much he contributed to the cotton economy. We fielded a lot of his phone calls in those days.

The Andersons are family friends. I've know Carl's daughter since the late 80's. She is a great gal. Her mom passed just a few months back. Carl was always very gracious when I had the chance to visit with him. I didn't know at the time that he was a big deal in the cotton world! To me his was just the dad of a friend!
