I worry about them very once in a while. Does anybody know if they are doing okay?

The 3 of them seem to be able to take care of themselves, as well as everyone else…

Isn't someone on here actually on that lease.

They would/could earn legend status by posting screen shots of the group me.

The arrogance of the general human race to pretend we're somehow in charge on this planet is comical to me.

Not saying that humans can't use their intellect to influence some outcome. That's not unimaginable. But the truth is we're merely a spec in this whole experiment. To think we're capable of much more than that in the overall story being written here is pretty short-sighted.

Long story short. Rookie poster came to the OB looking for guys to get on a "lease".

OB sniffed out their BS and the flames got hot.

To really understand you have to at least skim that thread and read the OP posts and heavily starred posts. It's pretty entertaining and people reference it all the time.

Guy asks for new lease members with some pretty crazy rules. You have to read it to believe it.

And then either him or one of his buddies creates a sock to defend the OP. Great read.

Pretty sure this is the time for their annual deer survey of everything within 3 counties. It's a lot of work cataloguing and deciding what everyone is allowed to shoot!

A friend of mine is on the lease. He really enjoyed the thread as did most of the guys on the lease.

I'd love to hear why he would sign up for that.

As far as an update, the season opened up Oct. 1st ,and only a few does and ****ty cull bucks have been harvested. As a result of the drought, a lot of the ranches in the area are showing extremely low fawn count…. Like less than 20%. It may impact the number of bucks we take this year and so we the hunters are still evaluating the severity of it.

Other than that, ranch has been great and Brad Mitch Jerry are still in good health. My son shot a pig for the first time last weekend and he was super stoked about it.

I don't know but I've gotten the impression that it's hard to get more tags from TPWD, other than the ones that were initially provided with MLD.

If you have a good relationship with your biologist, are doing all your requirement and managing appropriately, I've found it quite easy to get whatever you want regarding tags.

I second this. We hunt on walker country in Webb county and we get more tags every year if we need them. We show the biologist pictures of deer late in season that need to be taken and he gets us tags within 48 hours.
