Howdy, looking to try something different than the straight Salt and Pepper for steak and other beef. I see a lot of talk about Meat Church. Is Meat Church that good or just another of the same old same old? Which of the MANY of their rubs do you use and on what? Thanks!

Never tried theirs but I'm a fan of Chupacabra and when I want a little change I'll use Uncle Chris's on steaks.

Wodanaz is correct, Fiesta's Uncle Chris' on steak is the way to go. Meat Church Holy Cow and Holy Gospel is all you need for beef and even pork.

I was given 3 bottles of Meat Church Seasonings. I tried The Gospel and Holy Cow. Didn't really care for either (putting it nicely). The 3rd bottle was Dez Nuts- I never tried it after opening it and smelling it. Hard to describe the smell, but an intense fake-sugar, almost chemical, smell. It was very off-putting.

All 3 bottles got trashed. I would look elsewhere if I were you.

Holy Cow is way too sweet for my taste. In fact, now that I think about it, most of the Meat Church rubs I've tried are too sugary for me.

I'm a huge fan HEB Sweet TX Heat on pork and chicken. Beef is typically a homemade combo of kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

I like the Holy Voodoo seasoning but don't much care for any of the other Meat Church offerings

I tried that last week on a tri tip I smoked and it was fantastic. It looked strange being so black when I threw it on, but no complaints!

I put this stuff on almost everything, including sandwiches. I get hungry just smelling it.

Try the Jefe rub. My brother's buddy signed a deal to market their competition bbq team run.

That's my new go to for anything but beef. Pork, poultry and some game. Fabulous.

Chupacabra Brisket Magic is great on beef. Just got some Meat Church Holy Cow and haven't tried it yet.

I got a jar of Hardcore Carnivore Black and do not like it. If anyone in Kingwood/Humble wants it I'm happy to give it to you so you can try it too.

I was using Killer Hogs TX Brisket Rub on most beef. Really good on brisket. Lately been using the La BBQ rub recipe that was posted on here a while back. Really produces a great brisket!

Tried several of the Meat Church seasonings. Not a fan. Very basic and uninspiring.

Love Killer Hogs seasonings. That fat man knows how to season his meat.

Mix of Montreal steak and uncle chris. Healthy splash of red wine vinegar but don't overdo it.

He does, but I worry 'bout Malcom and his weight. Given that and the "good" eating he enjoys he might not be in it for the long game.

1 bottle for you to drink while you wait for it to marinate!

Texas BBQ Rub has Steak Sprinkle, which is the best steak rub I've ever used, hands down.

I like this one for simplicity, just salt, pepper and garlic. Got it at Costco. Also like Uncle Chris' for steaks sometimes.

I've tried just about all of those mentioned. My experience is that there is a time for any one of them. Depends on what you're looking for at the time. For now I'm on a suckle buster kick.

This is my go to for beef, vegetables, etc.

MEat Church can be interesting, but it's a lot of sugar.

I really like their Chop Haus Blend. I put it on all my vegetables. The special blend is really good on chicken wings and thighs. And I like the regular chupacabra rub for pork tenderloin and pork chops.

I really like the Holy Voodoo from Meat Church, not a huge fan of any others though. I have seen a lot of people going crazy over the new one they released, honey sugar or something like that

I've been using the Texas A&M steak seasoning here lately, been liking it quite a bit. Anyone else use it?
