Does anyone know of a 'smith in DFW that would do an optics cut into the rail of a Sig P365?

Picked up a holosun optic for it and would like to get it mounted. Found a few places I can send the rail off to but would prefer to keep it local.

I agree…sell your sig and buy a new one with the slide already optics ready and it will likely save you money?
I got the new p365 x macro and added the holosun optic right away. Zeroe'd in the optic today in fact, and it shoots great.

No need to sell the whole pistol...just buy a second slide that's already got the optic cut. Probably even be price competitive with having a 'smith do the work on the one he's already got.

OE slides cost more than you'd think. P365 slides second hand are $300-400+. Heck, I've seen new glock slides sell for more than a whole pistol b/c people are buying them to finish out 80% lowers.

Last slide I had milled/refinished ran $200. Only negative is having to refinish the gun and being down a few weeks if it's your carry gun.

Sell it and buy an X. You'll save money.

Also recommend to sell or replace with the P365X, much better platform than the standard 365. Replacing the slide on that gun is not the best option since its expensive. These 365s have the modular frames that are changeable. Frame cost $60 or so. Slide from SIG is list price at $299.99 for an SAS slide (no irons) but RMR cut.. That's over half the cost of a new gun for the most basic slide. Unless you have some deep sentimental to that gun, I'd upgrade.

I used Maple Leaf Firearms to mill my 365 slide. No issues with quality or turn around time.

Reporting back, had it milled at TX Gun Experience in Grapevine. Really happy with how it turned out.

I took my shotgun there too and was in and out in minutes with complete satisfaction. They have a very nice place and the employees were super friendly.
