I have both and personally prefer the Delta Point Pro. Huge window and prefer the clear glass vs the blueish hue of the Trijicon. Don't think you can go wrong with either one though.

I have a Holosun 507c on a Glock 45, and if I had it to do over, I'd go with DPP. Mainly because USA vs China. Might give the Sig Romeo 3 Max a look too depending on use.

Have both. Rmr is the standard. Takes a licking. Smaller footprint. Smaller window. 6.5 moa dot is easy to pickup.

Delta point little taller. Little more bulky. Bigger sight picture

You can be equally proficient with both. They just take practice, practice and more practice.

Biggest key is to not wait. When the dot is on target go.

Having both….if someone asked me to choose without hesitation. RMR

Or could go SRO

I have had two DPPs that had to be sent in for warranty repairs. It isn't the go-to for any of the big RDS trainers nationally...

Jedlinski of Modern Samurai Project is recommending the SRO as the top optic if you want a big window. Apparently it is durable enough that a fair number of PD's going to the RDS are issuing them.

I personally don't like the RMR at ALL because of the weird tint and small vertical viewing area in the window.

RMR or Holosun. DPP and Romeo aren't very robust

Kyle Lamb shoots a DPP and he's probably one of the biggest...

After 13 years of shooting IDPA matches with irons, I wanted to get a RD and try the Carry Optics division. I put a DPP on a Sig 320X-VTAC. I liked it so much, I decided to try a RD for my EDC pistol. While I liked the DPP, I could not find a spec on battery life. I decided to go with Trijicon SRO (on a Sig 320X-compact) because they claim a 3 year battery life and I always considered Trijicon the gold standard for pistol RD. Unlike my VTAC for comp, I'm betting my life on the SRO. With a 3 year battery spec, I change batteries every year since it is EDC.

All that said, I like them both and haven't had to change out batteries on the DPP yet.

Deltapoint pro has a better window. I returned my Trijicon for the deltapoint. Also don't have to take off the optic to replace the battery

Although the SRO would be great too for Trijicon.

What is the word on Swampfox? I don't know anything about them. I came across them while doing research.

With trijicon, you also get a little bible verse.

I like the 3.25moa rmr.

But the SRO is the best.

Both are great in their best roles. The rmr is a freaking tank and will take a lot of abuse. Great carry optic. For range use, the dpp is nice but it won't handle quite as much.

One nice thing about the Trijicons (RMR, SRO) and Holosun open emitters is that they have the same footprint. Before the mounting plates were a thing, I had guns milled for the DPP and had to dump the gun once I decided that wasn't the optic for me. This may not be as big of an issue now that optic ready slides and mounting plates are getting to be ubiquitous.

The window is much better on DPP. The RMR has some magnification and is a little harder to track. I have both, the DPP is my go to.

My RMR failed twice, they replaced it the second time with a 2.0. I haven't had any issues with the new one though
TheEyeGuy

On that, the RMR 1s were originally rifle optics that were adapted to pistols. The 2.0s were developed as a pistol dot from the get go. Definitely had LED RMRs go down, but triji was phenomenal in replacing them. The 2.0s, I haven't had a real issue yet with one that I can remember. Seen several DPPs sent back to Leupold though.

I've decided to go with the RMR Type 2 for my G19. I'm sure there will be a pretty big learning curve. I will give it a shot and if for whatever reason it just doesn't work out for me, I can always sell it.

Trijicon SRO 5 MOA for the win

Delta Point Pro is good. It's just not as good as the SRO.

Of the RMR's I prefer the RM01. It's auto brightness feature works really well, as well as never having to turn it on or off
